Many of the people I work with look fine on the outside. Inside, their body keeps sounding the alarm. The gut reacts, the skin flares, the heart races, sleep is poor and the tests come back normal.
Stress, past experiences and a nervous system that has been on high alert for a long time can all feed that pattern. EFT, often called tapping, is a gentle method that can help your body and mind settle.
What people come to work on
Every session is tailored to what you need most at the time.
Why your body reacts
Your nervous system keeps watch over your body all day. When it has been under pressure for a long time, from stress, illness or earlier experiences, it can stay on high alert. That alert can show up in the gut, the skin, your heart rate, your nerves, your sleep and your energy.
In my experience, calming that response is often a key part of helping the body settle. EFT is one of the ways I do it.

I am Rachel Sarah Brown. I trained in medicine at the University of Edinburgh (2003) and have over 23 years of experience in medicine. I also hold a Master's degree in Medical Laws and Ethics with distinction (2012), certification in functional medicine and board certification in quantum biology, and I am a trained EFT practitioner.
I have worked in psychiatry since 2004, and for more than two decades I have worked with people living with the effects of trauma. I also know it from the inside. I have used EFT and subconscious reprogramming to overcome traumatic memories of my own, and that experience shapes how I work with you: at your pace, and with respect for what you have been through.
I have lived with mast cell activation myself, so I know what it is like when your body reacts and nobody can say why.

What people come to work on
A body that reacts Flares, sensitivities and symptoms that come and go, move around or seem to have no clear reason.
A body that feels unreliable Tension, pain, fatigue, brain fog or a racing heart that make each day hard to plan.
Feeling on edge Stress, anxiety or a sense that your body never fully switches off, including poor sleep.
Past experiences Memories and difficult events that still affect how you feel and how your body responds.
I am a natural therapist, and my work centres on restoring energy in the body. In my experience, when the nervous system settles and the body has the energy it needs, it is often better placed to heal. People come to me with a diagnosis such as mast cell activation, POTS, IBS or Crohn’s disease, and with the tools we build together between sessions they can feel calmer in their own body.
Every session is tailored to what you need most at the time.
Philosophy & Approach
Rachel works remotely with clients via appointments online. Click on the booking link at the top of this page to see the next availability. For a short time she will continue with root-cause medicine appointments, but otherwise the main focus of her work will be addressing subconscious blocks and the stress response, to allow the nervous system to settle so that your body can stop reacting and instead focus on healing.
